Review: Tempering Steel by Lea Barrymire

Title: Tempering Steel (Coyote Bluff Series #2)
Author: Lea Barrymire
Publisher: Lea Barrymire
Published Date: December 17, 2014
Genre: Paranormal/Erotic Romance
Page Count: 156

After months of aching to be with grumpy Sheriff Connor Manning, Margarete Barrie finally gets her chance when a coyote shifter takes refuge in her home. She burns with need every time they’re close, but even she can only take rejection so many times before giving up.
Connor’s resolve to stay away from Margie weakens when she takes in his packmate. Fighting his inner animal and jealousy makes him question his decision to leave women and love alone.
They’re thrown together to catch a trapper or hunter threatening the pack. But once things start to heat up even the possibility of danger doesn’t cool the tension between them.

When reading Tempering Steel, you might want to sit near a fan. Just reading Connor and Margie’s scenes will set you on fire. I loved Margie and Connor in Accidentally Yours and I was so excited to read their own story. Connor is brooding and keeps his emotions to himself. He wants Margie and craves her every time she is near. Margie has always wanted Connor and is tired of being pushed away. Used to demanding what she wants, not getting it is new to her. I love the chemistry that these two characters have and how it just oozes from the pages. From the first tongue lashing Margie gives Connor, to the way Connor worships her body. You will fall in love with the characters.
I enjoyed this book more than the first. I think that is because Margie knows about the shifters and knows that Connor is one. In the first book Cammie did not and Ian had to be secretive. In this story we do get to find out how things are going for Cammire and Ian as well as the other shifters in town.
Barrymire does a great job in creating a world of shifters and humans that keep the reader entertained. Her writing style is more for the 18+ audience and if you love paranormal romance, you’ll find a good book here.
I recommend this to those who love paranormal romances and maybe those just starting out in them. You don’t have to read the first book to read this one but it helps you understand the character backgrounds.

5 out of 5 Stars!!!
