~~Review and Giveaway~~ Craving Resurrection by Nicole Jacquelyn

Title: Craving Resurrection (The Aces #4)
Author: Nicole Jacquelyn
Publisher: Self Published
Published Date: January 26, 2014
Genre: Romance
Page Count: 394

Poet and Amy's story...

Patrick Gallagher’s future was mapped out—and it didn’t include Amy Henderson or the IRA.

She was everything he’d never wanted. Too young. Too naïve.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t help but be fascinated by the girl who took refuge in his old bedroom, staying with his mum more often than not.

She looked like a Renaissance painting and argued like a solicitor. He couldn’t resist her, and before long, he didn’t even want to.

Instead, he loved her unreservedly… then he married her.

But he couldn’t have prepared for what happened after.

Actions, no matter how large or how small, have consequences—and when the IRA comes knocking, he’s sucked into a life that he’d never anticipated.

Choices were made.

Hearts were broken.

Trust was shattered.

Lives were lost.

Through it all, he loved her.

It was a love that spanned decades.
Epic.
Intense.
Unquestionable.
Unbreakable.

Craving Resurrection is a story that spans thirty years. We follow Poet and Amy through ups and downs. The story starts with their initial meeting. Amy was befriended by Poet and him mom Peg. Taken into their home, her feelings for Poet grow. Amy and Poet are happy together until Poet’s family obligations take them off course.
Poet is devoted to Amy. He made mistake that changes their lives. He is a character that seems to be pulled in many directions. He wants to be there for Amy but at the same time he has to be there for someone else. You want to dislike him but you know that he really is a good person. Amy is one that has never had an easy life. She assumes that once she is married to Poet, life would be better. She ends up being thrust into the middle of things, having to live with the after effects. You feel for her character because of everything she goes through in life. She is a strong woman with a big heart. You end up rooting for her to find happiness. Their life is a roller coaster journey that is full of emotion.
I loved that this story comes full circle and brings you back to the very first one, Craving Constellations. You first meet Poet there. In Craving Resurrection, you learn his story and everything that lead up to it. This is one of my favorites in the series. Nicole Jacquelyn does a fantastic job in creating the timeline. You don’t get lost as the story progresses, it is very easy to follow. I love this series and I hope that there are going to be more books.

4 out of 5 Stars!!

Nicole Jacquelyn is the mom of two little girls and a full time college student. She hasn’t watched television in well over a year, she still does things that drive her mother crazy, and she loves to read. At eight years old, when asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, she told people she wanted to be a mom. When she was twelve her answer changed- to author. By the time she was eighteen, when people asked her what she wanted to do with her life, she told them she really wanted to be a writer- but the odds of that happening were so slim that she’d get her business degree “just to be safe”. Her dreams stayed constant. First she became a mom, then she went to college, and during her senior year- with one daughter in first grade and the other in preschool, she sat down and wrote a story.

~~Blog Tour/Review/Giveaway~~ Uncover Me by Chelle Bliss

TourBannerUncover Me - Men of Inked #4

I lost track of my life.
Spiraling down the rabbit hole, I lost myself and became one of them. Living undercover within the MC, the days bled together as I became absorbed in a life of excess and violence. Becoming consumed was easy. Was I Thomas Gallo, good guy and respected cop or Blue, Sergeant-at-Arms of the Sun Devils MC? Before, I could answer with certainty. But now, there’s a darkness that has settled deep in my soul, fusing with my heart and altering my reality forever. The road I’ve traveled has been paved with danger, death, and deception. Roxanne grew up as part of the MC, a victim of her birth. Her life has been treacherous, setting her on a course of torment and destruction. When our worlds collide, secrets are revealed. Trying to save us from damnation, I fight for redemption and the woman I love.

I am totally in love with the Men of Inked series. All the books are great and the Gallos have to be my favorite men.
Thomas’ book, we finally get to know who Thomas really is and he gets his HEA. It takes you back to when Flash brought Izzy to Daytona and then brings you to present. So you get to see how he really reacted in the situations. Thomas comes off as a character that would protect his family till his last breath. He joined the DEA to help rid the world of evil doers but realized that he misses his family. He has spent the better part of a year or more undercover in the Sun Devils MC. Thomas’ character is strong enough that he is not overcome by the life of the MC. He still values family first and I think that is why he will be loved by the readers. As you read more into the book, you can see why he and James are BFF’s. They have some of the same tendencies. ;)
Roxy, the female lead, is lost in a world she did not ask for. Thomas is her salvation. The light at the end of a very dark tunnel. She loves him for who he is, not what he does. Roxy is a character that most can relate to. She is lost but seeks solace in the one she loves. She is perfect for Thomas’ protector character. She reminds me of Suzy because she is skittish at first but warms up to everyone.
All the characters are great in this book. Like I have said many times before, Mama G is by far my favorite. She knows how to give as good as she gets from the Gallo kids. Her bluntness is what makes her my favorite.
I feel bad for Flash. He never gets a great storyline. Always seen as the punch line, you can’t help but feel sorry for him. I hope that he gets some happiness in the future.
Mrs. Bliss has done it again with this book. She has a knack for writing a series that draws in readers with every book. You never get tired of the Gallos. It is a story full of action, love and all the naughtiness that the Gallo men can bring.
This series is HIGHLY RECOMMEND. You must read it if you haven’t yet. I can’t wait to see what Ms. Bliss has in store for us in the future.

Series: Selected Sinners MC Book 1
BOOK COVER
SYNOPSIS
Axton a.k.a. Slice -
Slice is the President of the Selected Sinners MC. He lives a life of being an outlaw, and believes the club motto, The Devil Looks After His Own, to be true. Additionally, he believes if the club wanted a member to have an Ol’ Lady, one would have been sewn on the front of their cut when they were patched in.

With his father serving a life prison sentence and no idea of who his mother is, Slice is a loner and one of a dying breed of outlaws who thumb their noses at the law, the government, and any expectation society may have placed on them.
Avery -
Avery Taylor traveled half way across the United States to attend school and escape her religious overbearing mother. Now a senior in college, she yearns to live a life opposite of the one she has lived to date; under the thumb of her strict parents.

Avery believes she wants a bad boy; someone who can take charge of her in-your-face personality, harsh mouth, and take no sh*t attitude. Working in a bar part time as a bartender, she’s shocked one night when the Selected Sinners MC comes in for a drink.

Her shock turns to lust when Slice walks in.

But she has no idea how bad of a bad boy Slice truly is.

ABOUT AUTHOR
Scott Hildreth is a very analytical sort who bases his beliefs on statistics he compiles in his head. Often going as long as a month without so much as a single sip of water, he drinks coffee as if it were the lifeblood of his writing.

Scott fears flying, clowns, and amusement park rides. Tall and lean with a cleanly shaven head and covered in tattoos, he doesn’t blend in well. After reading his writings, this makes perfect sense. His vibrant characters, backstories, and plots, although always relatable, generally stand out as much as he does.

Willing to discuss matters at length most people shy away from, Scott’s writing has revolved around such subjects as domestic abuse, suicide, alcoholism, drug abuse, cancer, divorce, homosexuality, religion, and lack thereof.

Born in San Diego, California, Scott now calls Wichita, Kansas his home. He is a proud father, and lives devoted to the love of his life, Jessica. When he isn’t writing, he may be found on his motorcycle or in a local coffee house.

Scott's novels include Broken People, Undefeated, Unstoppable, Unleashed, Unbroken, Baby Girl - Ruined, Baby Girl - Owned, Baby Girl - Loved, To the Depths of Hell, The Alpha-Bet, Finding Parker, Karter, and Confessions of a Smut Author.

~~Review~~ Wanting You by Ryan Michele

Title: Wanting You (Forever Mine #1)
Author: Ryan Michele
Publisher: Self Published
Published Date: November 30, 2013
Genre: Romance/Erotica/Suspense
Page Count: 236

Savannah 'Vann' Kelly knows the pain that love can bring, whether from family or a love lost. Being ripped from her home and forced to leave behind her boyfriend, has caused an ache she's unsure will ever heal.

Five years later, Vann is back. While her day job is kept secret from most, the threat it poses throws her entire world off balance, putting her and those closest to her in danger.

Deke Sullivan’s life has been in a tailspin ever since his brother’s death. Everyone in his life has either betrayed or left him, making him who he is today. But behind his tough persona is still the man that craves the woman who left him all those years ago. One look into those blue-gray eyes sends his heart into overdrive, anger pulsating through him.

Can Deke move past the hurt? Will what became of Vann's life after she left cause greater tragedy? Can first love prevail?

Wanting for You is a story of love lost and love reacquainted. You follow Deke and Savannah. Savannah left Deke and her home town because of her mom. After her dad left them, her mom couldn’t stay. So she spends 5 years trying to deal with everything and her alcoholic mother. So she finally arrives back in town and life is supposed to start back up. Hmmm… I wasn’t a fan of Savannah’s. Maybe because I just didn’t understand her or because I just didn’t like her character. You can tell that she cares for Deke. I wonder why she never wrote him, other than his Dear John letter. She didn’t contact and then expects things to be okay. She is one of those characters that you want to like but you cannot seem to.
Then there was Deke. He was possessive over Savannah, even after he said that they were over. When it comes to women, you can not have your cake and eat it too. You can not say you don’t want them and get mad if someone else does. Then when he finds out about her stalker he steps in like he is going to save the day. Where was he before? It seems that he has a hero complex.
The story it’s self was a good concept but it fell flat for me. The suspense of the book made some sense. An erotic writer being stalked by a reader. That could be a Lifetime movie. The thing that made it take a turn for the worse was when you find out who is behind the stalking. You do a double take and go “huh?”. When you go back and try to put the pieces of the puzzle back together, this conclusion doesn’t make sense. I don’t want to divulge who was behind it. Read the book and you’ll find out.
Michele is a great writer but I think this is not her greatest book. I loved everything else she has written and was surprised once I got to read this one. I had hoped for a more interesting storyline but it wasn’t the case. She does a good job in transitioning from present day to flashbacks. You don’t get lost in the shuffle with them. Overall her writing is good but the story not so much. This doesn’t deter me from her books. I am still a huge fan.

~~Review~~ Consume Me by Ryan Michele

Title:Consume Me (Ravage MC #3)
Author: Ryan Michele
Publisher: Self Published
Published Date: January 19, 2014
Genre: Romance/Suspense
Page Count: 233

Prospect Andrew “Tug” Tugger wants two things.
One, to become a member of the Ravage Motorcycle Club, and two, Blaze, the sexy brunette whose eyes set him on fire.
Only one of those things is under his control, and he is done waiting.
It’s time to take what he wants.
Blaze has been running from her tragic past for over four years. She is finally feeling settled, after stripping her way through school and building a life in Sumner, her first safe haven. She keeps everyone at arm’s length, afraid to let anyone discover the secrets she holds within.
Tug sets out to make Blaze his, but will someone get burned in the process?
Will Blaze run again when her new world is threatened?
Or will she allow Tug to consume her?

Consume Me picks up right after Seduce Me. This is following the aftermath of the kidnapping and rescue. In Consume Me, we are presented with the story of Blaze and Tug. Blaze is a tough cookie trapped in a girl next door body. Blaze doesn't trust easily and Tug is slowly breaking down her walls. Blaze is one that I didn’t like at first but as her story grew, I liked her. She is tough and to be with someone from the MC, you have to be tough.  I loved how she put the girls from X in their place. You go girl. =)
Tug on the other hand, loved him. It was great to see a MC story about a prospect. It is usually about the members. Tug is a character that you can’t help but love. He is a strong character, one that stands out. You would not think he was a prospect, except that it is mentioned a few times. He has loved Blaze from afar, and I am glad that they got their HEA.
Blaze and Tug are put to the test when Blaze’s past comes back. We finally find out the true extent of what she went through. We also get more to Tug’s backstory. I was happy that he had a happy reunion with his mom and sister. Maybe we get to see more of them in the future.
Michele does a wonderful job in creating her MC world. You have danger, excitement and lots of steamy moments. Fans of the MC genre will love this series. It is full of great storylines and awesome characters to go with them. You will not get bored with the Ravage MC series.
