This is the first book I have read by this author. It is a part of a series. I highly recommend reading the previous book before reading this one. Both books interconnect and to get the full effect of what is happening, book books should be read. 

The book dove head first into the MC world. The author is pretty on point with the lingo and concept of what the biker world is. The author does her research and it pays off in that aspect.

I feel that the author does a great job in building the foundation of the story. Where I feel that the book hits a snag is with Sadie. She was in a relationship with a guy from another MC. She's pregnant and on the run from him. She seeks shelter with her brother's club. This is where it kind of fumbles for me. As soon as Sadie gets to the club she tries to pursue a relationship with Twist. You're pregnant and just getting out of a bad relationship, why are you trying to hook up with a guy who has a mile long list of issues? Shouldn't her first priority be getting settled and preparing for the birth of her child? Sadie's character just didn't sit right with me. I'm not a fan of hers. 

Twist's story is hard to read at times. It is wonderful to read about him finally finding the happiness that was ripped from him.

It’s not right showing her my brand of crazy. Her eyes close, giving herself to me, and instead of owning her like I want to, I back away, dropping my hands. Confused, dilated eyes meet mine and I shake my head, taking my seat again. She sighs—dejected--and turns back to finish preparing our food without a word. What the fuck am I doing? That’s 2’s sister!
