An obligation is a course of action that someone is required to take, whether legal or moral.

At six years old, Myla was sent to a family her father and mother had chosen for her when they knew their time on earth was almost up. What they were unaware of was what they thought would be her safe haven would become her living hell.

Kai has been watching Myla from afar since he took over the family business from his father and inherited the responsibility of keeping her safe. When word gets back to Kai that Myla is not only in danger, but that his assets are being compromised, he immediately jumps into action and does the only thing that can be done at the time by marrying her.

Neither Myla nor Kai would have thought that something that started off as a farce would become the most important thing either of them could've ever done.

I received Obligation and read it in about 5 hours. That should tell you that it was a damn good read. Did I expect anything different? No. Everything else that Ms. Reynolds has written has been excellent.
This book revolves around Kai and Myla. Two kindred spirits reunited years later. Kai is…..well he is the  alpha male. He’s domineering, a little controlling and intense. With a man like Kai, you are okay with his domineering nature. He’s very protective of Myla and feels that it is his destiny to protect her.
Myla is the opposite of Kai. She’s the calm to his storm. With the life that she has had, you would never expect her to love a man like Kai. I like Myla. She is a strong female character, determined to not let anything hold her back. She is one that I would want as my BFF.
This book is well rounded with a cast of characters. My favorite is Uncle Frank. Every time he comes into the picture, I know I am going to laugh. I hope that Pika gets a book. Besides Kai, he’s another hottie from the book. I definitely want to know more about his character.
The suspense in this book is intense. It comes at you at all angles. That’s a good thing because it is what makes this book so interesting. This book pulls you in at the beginning, even in the prologue. By the time you are finished you are begging for more. Reynolds does a great job in capturing the characters emotions on paper. I loved everything about this book. I couldn’t put it down until I was finished. I can not wait to read more from this author.

5 out of 5 Stars!!!!
