Review:
This fast read is the story of Mason and Moira. Mason is hurting because he has lost the love of his life. With the loss he has gain a precious gift, his son. Mason is stuck in the darkness that is his pain. He's slowly sinking to the point of no return. I feel so bad for him. You wished that he could have gotten his HEA but it wasn't time yet.
Mason has his chance at happiness with Moira. He can see it but he doesn't think he deserves it. He's stuck in a limbo of confusion because he feels that moving on is forgetting Hilary. I also think he has a lot of guilt because of the relationship that they had. At points you want to hate Mason because of the way he treats Moira but you know it's just his pain.
The biggest surprise is Mrs. Shepard. She is the foul mouthed, no nonsense lady who ends up setting Mason straight. Her bluntness is exactly what he needs to see that he can move on.
This book had its emotional parts. The story of Mason isn't pretty. Marten has done a wonderful job in writing this story. It gives the readers the closure that they needed.
