Jase Insico Being a twin sucks. Watching my brother’s slowly fall in love sucks even worse. One party and things change; no not like Brantley’s story, our story is different. Just like the girl I fell in love with while she was under my protection. I made a lot of mistakes with her, but then again I wouldn’t take any of them back if the outcome would have been any different. She was worth everything I had to go through. She was trouble with a capital T, but I wouldn’t change one minute with her. Wynter Larsen I never expected to get caught sneaking into some guys apartment. Truth be told, I’m glad I did. I found the man of my dreams even if I didn’t believe it for myself for a while. Jase wasn’t like everyone else. He believed me and protected me no matter the cost. He went up against his own family and the man who had been after me for weeks. He was my saving grace and I could never thank him enough for what he did.
Reading this book, I was excited for Jase finally getting his HEA. He meets Wynter and she has him thinking about finally settling down. Things don't go as easily as Jase hoped because Wynter is running from her demons and they are slowly catching up with her. The MC questions Jase's intentions with Wynter. Jase knows what he wants and is willing to fight for it, even if it means fighting his brothers. I loved Jase in this book. With everything going on with Wynter, he could have been a complete d*ck about stuff. He's not. He comes off as a caring person but still totally alpha male in the bedroom.
I felt bad for Wynter. Not only was she being chased by a bad guy but the life she thought she knew comes crashing down around her. Luckily she's not alone because she has Jase to help her through it. I loved her character because she isn't a weeping female. She's a fighter.
The thing I like about Renee's books are that even though they are apart of the MC world, they aren't hardcore. This means I can read the book, be entertained but not feel like I need a mind cleanse after reading it. That's a good thing. When I came across this series by accident, I immediately fell in love with it. How can you not, when you have characters and storylines that pull you in. Some aspects of the story seemed a little rushed but all in all it was a great book. I look forward to more books from this author.

She shakes her head no, “I won’t let you or your friends get hurt because of me. I can’t deal with anymore death on my conscience.” Putting my finger to her lips, I shush her. “We are big boy’s sugar. We can take care of ourselves. Do not leave.” Her eyes search my face for something, and she must find what she’s looking for because she nods her head and goes to sit on the couch. Walking back to my room, I brace myself for the shit storm that’s about to go off in there. Before I can even close the door, shit starts flying at me from all directions. “What the fuck are you doing Jase?” Ryder asks from beside me. “I couldn’t fucking let that bastard hurt her for no reason. We were all fucking taught better than that in the fucking club, and I know we wouldn’t let Anslie or one of the ole’ ladies deal with that from anyone,” I grate out. Brant shakes his head at the mention of Anslie’s name. “Difference is brother; she’s not an ole’ lady or family. We have fucking rules for a reason.” “So you’re saying we don’t help people just because they aren’t family? Are you guys fucking kidding me? She needs us just as much as Anslie ever did!” I’m fucking pissed that they only care about people in our family. I can see the steam pouring off my twin, and he walks over to me and gets in my face. “Fuck you Jase. Anslie is fucking family and my ole’ lady. You saying you rather give protection to some girl off the fucking street than my ole’ lady?” Pushing Brant away, I shake my head. Turning to address the whole room that is just watching us with amused expressions, I state my fucking point. “I fucking think we should help anyone that needs our fucking help. I sure as hell ain’t letting her fend for herself with a shithead like him out there after her. You all fucking seen that motherfucker. He has a fucking screw loose. But if it makes it fucking easier, I’ll claim her as my ole’ lady just to keep her protected. You’re so fucking concerned about rules and shit, there you go.” I walk away from Brant because I know if I don’t then I’m going to punch him. I’m still fucking pissed at him, and this is just making it worse.
