I’m being hunted.
Prey left defenseless.
I need to hide.
They can’t find me.
They’ll kill me if they do.
When Lucy decided to run nowhere to go. They were coming for her. She needed protection, but she had no one to help her. Until she came across the warehouse of the Deathstalkers MC, she begged them for protection. Now she owes them her life and her loyalty. Her family will never end their search for her, she is a piece of property that needs to be recovered at any cost necessary. Sometimes there are worse things than needing to hide for the rest of your life, like being found.
Sometimes the obvious evils aren’t the ones you need to fear.

When I started to read Corrupted, I never expected this book to be as emotional and intense as it was. It starts off innocent enough with Lucy and Jordan building their connection, their bond. Lucy is underage and completely off limits until she turns 18. This time period is a perfect story builder. We get to know the characters without the story being full of sex. Don't get me wrong, I like sex in my books but I want a story and the author gives it to us. The author also does a great job in writing this part. It could have come off as some pervy guy hanging around this teenager but it doesn't. It is a solid friendship that doesn't cross the line.

Once Lucy turns 18, the story shifts. These two characters can now pursue a relationship. Since a bond has formed with them already, the fast pace of this relationship seems natural. You don't feel as if you are missing anything. I love these two together. Lucy brings out a vulnerable side of Jordan and He brings out her stronger side. They are the perfect book couple.

The story shifts again when Lucy's past and present collide. It becomes darker to match the emotions that the author is trying to covey for the characters. I cried reading Lucy's scenes because of the intensity of them. I was happy that she was able to get through it but it was hard to read at times.

I  feel that the author did a fantastic job on this book. I can not wait to read the next book in this series because I know it will be just as good as this one, if not better.

My Rating:
5 out of 5 Stars

Alexis Noelle lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with her husband, and three kids. On top a writing career, she is a full-time student and a full-time mom. She loves spending time with her kids, although she has to hide the computer from them when she is writing! She love being active and being outdoors, especially if it involves any kind of shopping. She has always been passionate about writing. She loves to read romance books and feels like being able to lose yourself in a book is one of the more exciting aspects. The books she loves to read and write will be ones that make you feel for the characters. Ashley believes that you should have an opinion on every character in a book whether you love them, hate them, or think they are up to something. She also believes that the most important critic is your reader, so she loves to hear from the readers. She want her fans to be open & talk to her about what they want for the characters in the story, and what they would like to see happen.
