Review

The Rule Book is Lainey and Broden's book. Broden is a by the rules type of guy and Lainey is not a rule girl. They seem oddly match but they work pretty good together. Lainey helps him learn to trust and open up to others. Because he has been hurt in the past, he has a hard time letting others in. Lainey has been hurt too but she refuses to allow the past to control her. Their romance is short lived when someone seeks to take Broden and his company down. They are willing to make Lainey a pawn in their plan to make it happen.
I wasn't a huge fan of Broden's. He comes off as this brooding type of guy. Someone who takes life too seriously. As he hangs out with Lainey, his walls start to drop and you begin to see the guy before the rules started. He's been hurt in the past and has a hard time trusting Lainey and completely letting go of the rules. Because of this, he doesn't see the truth when everything starts to hit the fan. You don't dislike Broden for this because you can see that he is a wounded man and he just doesn't want to get hurt again.
Lainey is perfect for him because she pushes his buttons and forces him outside of his comfort zone. She makes his see that taking risk are not all bad. Risks can lead to the best things in your life.

What I liked most about this book is that the romance was paced. The author has the characters taking their time to get to know each other. This isn't one of those insta love books.

I enjoyed reading this book and definitely recommend it.
