Amber is headstrong as ever and refuses to remain at home just because it’s expected of her. Traveling has been her life and the pull to hit the road is strong.
This time when Blake goes off to work, he is on a serious mission. He is fighting to save the lives of werewolf children who are being ripped from their families, their lives in danger.
Neither Blake nor Amber realize they may end up having to fight to save their own family…
My Review:
In this book we get to follow Amber and Blake's lives following the Heart of A Wolf series. It is a brief peak into what is going on with them and it brings in some supporting cast from the series.
Amber's life has taken a maternal turn. She is now pregnant with Blake's child. She becomes restless in her final stages of pregnancy, as Blake is out working for her Grandfather. This restlessness leads to her baby's and her own life being in jeopardy.
I am surprised with information that we learn about the dream realms and Amber's connection to them. We see more of Blake's vulnerability through his love of Amber and his unborn child. It is good to see this side of him. It lets you know that he is "human" even though he is a Werewolf.
Mrs. Bast does it again with this book. Her writing draws you in as the reader and keeps you entertained till the end.
The only negative thing I have is that you shouldn't read this one as a stand alone. To truly understand the story I recommend reading the series in order. Just saying. :-) Other than I LOVED IT!! A definite recommend
I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
