Emily Minton’s Beautiful Outlaw is a fantastic thrill ride
and a great start to her new series. The story revolves around Bowie and Shay.
To see these two characters come together is a beautiful thing. They teach each
other about love and trust. I loved them together.
I enjoyed reading about Nina, basically the club mom. She
loves everyone even though most of the guys treated her badly at first. She has
a big heart.
Shay’s brother Locke is a mystery. He has association with
the club but is not a member. His need to find the other “Gwendolyns” has you
wondering what his stake is in the search. It is more than just his sister was
involved. I hope that we get more of his story.
Minton pulled characters from Chelsea Cameron’s Hellions MC
series. Fans of Cameron’s character Shooter will love this book.
I was a little disappointed that we didn’t get more of a
background for Marcus. I would have loved to have known why he did what he did.
Who really was his first wife? Why was Shay chosen? Maybe this will be information
given in a future book.?.
Minton leaves us with a tease. Not only does she give us one
epilogue but we get two. The first one sets up the next book and the second one
just teases us. Its okay, I like the tease. It makes me want to read her books more.
My overall thoughts are that I love the book and Minton, as
always, did a fantastic job at keeping the reader entertained. All of her
characters are strong and help develop the MC atmosphere that she has created.
I look forward to future books in this series.
