Camden McMahon has never trusted witches. He’s willing to temporarily overlook his animosity and work with a coven in order to put an end to the threat against his family. Then he meets the daughter of their high priestess, a gifted witch in her own right—and Camden’s fated mate.
Selene Trevil has always treasured the magic which flows through her veins. Until it calls out to Camden and marks him as her intended consort. A relationship between a shifter and a witch is unheard of, but resisting his pull is impossible.
Will Camden and Selene have to bear the burden of the past? Or will their love be enough to overcome all the obstacles standing in their way?
~My Review~
Bear The Burden is the third book in the series and follows the last McMahon brother as he finds his mate. We know that the the brother trio never do anything the easy way, finding a mate is no exception. The previous brothers have had controversy in finding a mate; Alasdair mates with an daughter of his father's enemy and Braden mates with a council enforcer. So we shouldn't expect anything thing less from Camden.
Camden feels lonely. He has watched his siblings find mates while he sits in the sidelines. When the McMahon Clan decides to pair up with witches, Camden thinks it's going to end badly. Witches and Shifters are never supposed to mix. Based on an old prophecy, what is not supposed to be, is about to be.When Selene and the other witches arrive, all preconceived notions about witches are thrown out the window. Camden just wants to mate his witch. It's a struggle because Camden's father isn't a 100% with the mating. His opinion changes once he really sees Selene's powers in action. Camden and Selene prove to be a dominant force. A great book couple, probably my favorite of this series.
The story is full of action and romance, definitely what you expect from this see from this author. I hope that this isn't the last of the McMahon Clan. Maybe Carrick can get a book??? Fingers crossed.
I felt that the author did a fabulous job with this book. I loved the characters and the story. I was sad that it ended but happy that McMahon kids have all found their HEA.

5 out of 5 Stars
Bear the Consequences ( McMahon Clan #1)
Bear it All (McMahon Clan #2)
His hands were hot as they gripped my upper thighs, his fingers spreading me open. He blew against my lips before running his tongue up and down my clit. My eyes clenched tight as my body went taut at the feel of his mouth on me.
“Watch me as I taste you for the first time, Selene.”
My eyes popped open at his command, but it was difficult to keep them that way when his tongue flicked out and stroked my clit. I plunged my hands into his hair, trying to bring his face even closer to me. Stiffening his tongue, he buried it deep inside me, tongue-fucking me until I was writhing with need before he replaced it with two fingers. His fingers were so large, they stretched me wide as he rubbed against my G-spot.
“So close,” I muttered, feeling my climax starting to build. My legs tightened against his head as I tried to gain the added pressure I needed to set me off.
Then he wrapped his lips around my clit and sucked hard before gently biting down. The combination of pain and pleasure was enough to throw me over the edge. I screamed as my climax hit my body and held his head to me so I could grind my hips against his mouth.
Camden gave me a few last licks before rubbing his mouth along my thigh. “My mate has the sweetest pussy.”
I absolutely adore reading - always have and always will. My friends growing up used to tease me when I would trail after them, trying to read and walk at the same time. If I have downtime, odds are you will find me reading or writing.
I am the mother of two wonderful sons who have inspired me to chase my dream of being an author. I want them to learn from me that you can live your dream as long as you are willing to work for it.
When I told my mom that my new year's resolution was to self-publish a book in 2013, she pretty much told me "About time!"
